During Ecopsia Spiritual Retreats, we believe in creating spaces where deep connection, healing, and growth can unfold. Every retreat and event is designed to bring women together in sisterhood and empowerment — and sometimes, that means welcoming wisdom from far beyond our shores.

Recently, we had the incredible honour of hosting two members of the Yawanawá tribe from the Brazilian Amazon. During their stay at Ecopsia, they shared a number of traditional ceremonies that opened a doorway into the world of shamanism, plant medicine, and ancestral healing practices that have been passed down through generations.
For everyone who attended, it was a chance not only to witness but to fully participate in rituals that connect body, mind, and spirit in profound ways. These ceremonies were filled with music, rhythm, sacred song, and ancient teachings that reminded us of the power of community and the beauty of being fully present.
✨ “To hold space with the Yawanawá was a privilege I will never forget,” said Paula Williams, founder of Ecopsia. “Their presence and teachings added such depth to what we already offer here. At Ecopsia, we strive to create meaningful, transformational experiences — and this was a beautiful example of that vision coming to life.”

Among the participants was Kerry Fletcher, host of the Shift Happens podcast, who described the experience as both grounding and expansive: “Being part of this ceremony was like stepping into another world — one where everything slows down, and you feel truly connected to yourself and the group around you. It was deeply healing, and it gave me so much to reflect on, not just personally, but also in how I show up for my community.”
This gathering is just one of the many powerful events we are proud to host at Ecopsia. From women’s retreats in Shropshire to sacred ceremonies, workshops, and empowerment weekends, every experience is carefully curated to help participants reconnect with themselves, with nature, and with a community of supportive women.
💚 We are so grateful to the Yawanawá tribe for sharing their wisdom and presence with us, and to every participant who joined in and made the experience so special. These moments remind us why we do what we do: creating safe, sacred, and transformative spaces where shift truly happens.
